Our bodies are meant to be used, but sometimes life can throw us a curveball we didn’t see coming. However, the body has an incredible inborn capacity to heal! No matter the injury, the body will heal itself in some way. How we treat our bodies, and our minds, during this time determines the type of function that comes out of that healing.
Regenerative Fitness is about providing the body with the building blocks and specific types of stress that will help it heal in a way that leads to regaining function. Whether your injury is from athletics or just daily life, recovery is about more than strengthening an area that has been injured. True recovery involves recalibrating the neurological inputs, biochemical state and alignment of structural fibers to aid the body in its regeneration and functionality.
Nutrition plays a massive role in providing the body with the correct building blocks to restructure, but tissues need eustress (good stress) to restructure in the correct format. This means there are specific types of functional movements that can be applied to new or old injuries to help the body regenerate tissues for optimal movement, endurance and function.
Pain is often a side effect of dysfunctional tissue, rather than a cause of a problem. At Depth Wellness, we do specific movement analyses to find which tissues are dysfunctional and develop a customized program to target those specific areas. Each appointment will recheck nervous, muscle, ligament, structure, cleansing and energetic function to keep your body on a progressive plan and get you back to doing what you love.
